Two ‘alien’ skulls discovered in Russia, a secret Nazi institution and the search for the origin of Mankind

In what sounds as a scene from an Indiana Jones movie, reports from Russian newspapers “Komsomolskaya Pravda” and “Rossiyskaya Gazeta” indicate that a briefcase and two Alien-like skulls were discovered in the mountains of the Caucasus region of Adygeya. Among the briefcase, its finders found two skulls belonging to an unknown creature. Ahnenerbe was probably the most secret society within the SS dedicated to the study of the occult and the supernatural forces on Earth. According to researchers, it is likely that members of the SS were interested in the mysteries of the ancient dolmens and the high amounts of radioactivity present in the region known as the Kishinski canyon.
However, researchers believe It is also possible that they were searching for the golden Kuban Rada, lost somewhere in the region during the Russian Civil War (1917-1923). (The Kuban Rada (Russian: Кубанская Рада; Ukrainian: Кубанська Рада) was the supreme organization of the Kuban Cossacks, that represented all the heads of the districts.)

Among the items, researchers also discovered a German-made map of the territory of Adygeya believed to have been created in 1941. Experts have been left amazed by the accuracy and completeness of the map.
Historians know many details of operation Wehrmacht Edelweiss which took place at the peak of Elbrus, the highest mountain in Europe, located in the republic of Kabardino-Balkaria in the Russian Caucasus. However, what the exact purpose of this mysterious organization in the mountains of Adygea was, remains a profound mystery, as does the connection between the mysterious briefcase, its contents, and the two anomalous skulls which do not have a humanoid aspect.
The Ahnenerbe: A mysterious institutions with mysterious goals
The Ahnenerbe was an institute in Nazi Germany purposed to research the archeological and cultural history of the Aryan race. The institute conducted experiments and launched numerous expeditions around the world attempting to prove that mythological Nordic populations ruled the world in the distant past. The name Ahnenerbe means “inherited from the forefathers.”
The Ahnenerbe wanted to know everything related to the mysterious and unknown on our planet, they made several expeditions traveling to Tibet, Antarctica and the Caucasus and had a huge interest in the UFO phenomenon, searching for the ultimate and absolute power.
It is well known to the world that Hitler’s Germany was actively engaged in developing new types of weapons believed to have been capable of changing the course of the war. This is why over 300 specialists from different sectors worked in the Ahnenerbe, all brilliant and well-educated minds with great scientific knowledge.

Interestingly, only a few know that, years before the war began, specialists in mountain roads from a German military construction organization offered to help the USSR to build a road between Pitsunda and Ritsa (from the coast of the Black Seanow in Abkhazia), as a mean of international cooperation.
After completing the work, the German specialists were discovered to have died mysteriously, their car plunged into the gap in a curve. Until today, tourists flock to Lake Ritsa through the tunnels built by the Germans.
Russian Water of Life
It was found out later that the construction of this strategic road had very mysterious reasons behind it. It turned out that hydrologists from Ahnenerbe established that the composition of the water taken from a source located in a cave under the lake Ritsa was ideal for making human blood plasma. “The” living water “from Abkhazia was transported in silver containers first to the coast, then by submarine to the bottom of Constance, and finally by plane to Germany,” explains Bormotov, professor of the department of economics and management from Maikop State Technological University. There were even plans to build tunnels for submarines, leading from the sea to Ritsa, but these plans were interrupted by the war.
It is well-known that the 49th Mountain Corps of the Wehrmacht, who made the ascent to Mount Elbrus stayed in the Adygeya region. In the valley of the Belaya River near the Cossack village of Dajóvskaya, stood  the Westland  SS regiment, and located  between the rivers Pshish and Psheja tank regiments of Germania were installed. In autumn 1942, the airport of Maikop was visited by the 3rd Squadron of the 14th reconnaissance group, which had twin-engine reconnaissance aircraft dubbed FW-189, which equipped with the most sophisticated spy instruments and were considered by many as flying secret laboratories.
“That was more than enough to protect the undercover investigations which were possibly performed by the Ahnenerbe in the mountains of Adygea,” says Bormotov. “Maikop was the city where the Wehrmacht had its headquarters. From there the command of all German military campaign in the Caucasus was organized.
In autumn of 1942, in the mountains of Adygea, there wasn’t any defined military defensive line, and there are reports of soldiers wondering deep into the mountains. It is not clear why troops were deployed on Mount Pshekish in August 1944 when the frontline had already moved far to the west. What was it that the Nazis did not have time to finish on Mount Pshekish? Can these mysterious movements be explained and related to the investigations of Ahnenerbe researchers?” asks himself Bormotov.

Many people assume that the Nazis were interested in the dolmens the prehistoric constructions attributed to the Atlantean builders located in the region, and “the gateway to parallel worlds.”
Even today people are still talking about unusual events in the area. Recently there was an article in the local press which spoke about the discovery of a giant skeleton of three meters in height which belonged to an unknown human race in the Borjomi canyon.
The skulls of the Gods
Russian media writes that the mysterious skulls were found in a cave on Mount Bolshoi Tjach nearly two years ago by a group of explorers led by ethnographer Vladimir Melikov.
According to Melikov, the creature of one of the skulls was unlike anything known to man, and it walked on two legs. Melikov states that among the most mysterious features of the skulls is the absence of cranial vault and jaws. The eye sockets are unusually large having facial features resembling humans.
Even when compared with the skull of a bear, it’s hard to think that you do not have in your hands the remains of an alien creature, said Melikov.
Paleontologists in Moscow weren’t too excited when they received photographs of the mysterious skulls, they merely acknowledged that the skulls are unlike anything they had ever seen, suggesting that the skulls could have been submerged and exposed to sand for long periods of time, something that could have altered the shape of the skulls, but, if this were the case, how can we explain the nearly identical ‘deformations’ in both skulls which seem to follow similar patterns?
Speculations or reality? The Ancient Anunnaki in Russia
Some researchers went as far and made connections between the mysterious skulls to the Ancient Anunnaki. After looking at the images, many suggest that these mysterious skulls were sought by researchers from the Ahnenerbe since they belonged to the visitors from the Stars, the gods, and creators of the human race, and researchers from the Ahnenerbe knew exactly what they were looking for.

“We can build all kinds of versions and conjectures, but the truth is that the remains found in the mountains of Aguideya will force you to re-think everything you know,” he said Bormotov to Russian newspapers.
In conclusion, we can say that these mysterious findings are something that definitely makes you wonder what else is out there. It makes you think about other secret institutions that had similar ideas and plans as the Ahnenerbe. The skulls and items discovered in Russia will remain as some of the most mysterious findings made in the last decade, and the truth behind them seems far more mysterious than what we can imagine.

New Mars satellite returns first photographs

The Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO) has returned a set of high-quality test photographs from the Red Planet.
Despite losing its companion Schiaparelli lander to a computer glitch shortly after arriving at Mars back in October, the atmospheric research orbiter is continuing to do well.

Developed through a collaboration between the European Space Agency and Russia's Roscomos, the Trace Gas Orbiter is designed to acquire a better understanding of methane and other trace gases present in the planet's atmosphere.

While the spacecraft is not yet in the correct orbit to begin operations, the team behind it have taken the opportunity this week to test out its cameras and other on-board instrumentation.

The images returned were taken around 250km above the surface over the Hebes Chasma region.

"We saw Hebes Chasma at 2.8 metres per pixel," said principal investigator Nicolas Thomas. "That's a bit like flying over Bern at 15,000km/h and simultaneously getting sharp pictures of cars in Zurich."

In addition to its cameras, the probe is also equipped with several infrared spectrometers and a neutron detector capable of picking of signs of hydrogen near the planet's surface.

Giant air-breathing fish found in the Amazon

A new species of the mysterious arapaima has been discovered in the remote backwaters of the Amazon.
Measuring up to 10ft long and weighing up to 440 pounds, the arapaima has long remained something of an enigma. Found within the oxygen-depleted backwaters of South America, this monster of the rainforest breathes air through a primitive lung and has managed to evade study thanks to its remote location and the fact that it is quite a difficult fish to catch.

Up until now the arapaimas found in the Amazon have been thought to belong to the same species, albeit with regional variations. According to National Geographic explorer Donald J. Stewart and colleagues however, there could actually be several species - many of them undiscovered.

Their findings were based on a specimen collected in 2001 which has turned out to be a distinctly different species to most of the arapaimas caught in the region.

"I think we'll have many more species before we're done," said Stewart.

While the discovery is good news for biologists, it also means that some of these elusive fish may be a lot more endangered than previously believed.

These days it is illegal to catch arapaimas and there are thought to be only around 5,000 left.

If this population consists of several different species, then it means that many of those are going to be a lot more endangered and some could even be on the brink of extinction.

"We need to pay attention to this diversity so we don't eliminate one of them," said Stewart.

Mystery surrounds Australia's Min Min Lights

Strange balls of light have puzzled visitors and locals alike in Western Queensland for over a century.
These eerie glowing orbs, which the local Aborginal people believe to be the spirits of the deceased, are said to follow unsuspecting travellers and can even reduce grown men to tears.

One witness - Genevieve Hammond - had been out camping with her husband in Queensland's Channel Country on a particularly clear and cold night when she encountered the phenomenon.

"We were on a remote cattle station," she said. "We were camping out and we saw this greenish oval shaped blurry light bobbing up and down. It was parallel to the horizon, about a kilometre away, and seemed to be a metre from the ground. It moved very slowly to the left and then came back on itself and it went on like this for about 15 minutes. It was silent and very eerie."

"It couldn't have been anything else, there's no other explanation, it was the Min Min light."

Possible explanations for the phenomenon range from UFOs to fireflies and swamp gas, but now according to Jack Pettigrew, a neuroscientist at the University of Queensland, the strange lights could actually be a nocturnal version of the Fata Morgana mirage - a rare optical illusion that can make ocean-going ships appear to be floating above the horizon.

"I experienced the phenomenon myself as well as hearing about it from graziers," he said. "We were surprised that the bright spot of light was still there when we turned off the headlights." - See more at: http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/news/301383/mystery-surrounds-australias-min-min-lights#sthash.qmoePjTN.dpuf

Mysterious 'sea blob' sighted after 100 years

A strange-looking invertebrate has been spotted by a deep-sea ROV over a century after its discovery.
With its translucent body and ethereal otherworldly appearance, Bathochordaeus charon was first observed all the way back in 1899 by Prof Carl Chun of Leipzig University during an expedition to explore the depths of the South Atlantic.

Believing it to have originated from the bottom of the sea, he named it 'Charon' after the ferryman who in Greek mythology is tasked with transporting the souls of the deceased across the river Styx.

Further accounts of the creature however have been scarce with only a few being reported over the last century. Of those examined by scientists, none seemed to exactly match Chun's discovery.

Now though, Rob Sherlock of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute has finally managed to locate and even capture one off the coast of California using a remote-operated vehicle.

"Since the vehicle was recovered some tens of minutes later, the animal was alive, in fantastic shape, and we preserved it right away in order to send it to the Smithsonian," he said.

"We had no idea, until we looked more closely at the specimen, that we had actually found B. charon, the species first described over a hundred years ago."

"It felt like Chun had finally been vindicated after years of doubt."

AI predicts the future by watching videos

An artificial intelligence is learning how to anticipate what is going to happen in the next few seconds.

When you see a person sitting down at a table with a plate of food it stands to reason that the next thing they are going to do is begin eating. For a human this is a no-brainer, but for a computer the ability to predict what is going to happen next represents a major technological challenge.

In a new bid to get around this problem, researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have developed a sophisticated deep learning algorithm that can look at a still image and generate a short movie based on what it anticipates is going to happen next.

Show it an image of the shoreline for example and it will produce a short video of moving waves.

To learn how to make such predictions, the AI was trained using more than two million Internet videos of everything from train stations and golf courses to shopping malls and hospitals.

"Any robot that operates in our world needs to have some basic ability to predict the future," said Carl Vondrick, one of the researchers who worked on the system. "For example, if you're about to sit down, you don't want a robot to pull the chair out from underneath you."

While it's still early days yet, teaching a computer how to anticipate what is going to happen next is an important step towards building an AI that can operate effectively in the real world.

"The laws of physics and the nature of objects mean that not just anything can happen," said John Daugman at the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory.

"The authors have demonstrated that those constraints can be learned."

Trip to the Moon could be available by 2026

Moon Express is hoping to be able to send people on trips to the Moon within as little as ten years.
As if venturing to the edge of space aboard one of Virgin Galactic's suborbital space planes wasn't adventurous enough, tourists of the near future may even be able to go to the Moon itself.

Moon Express, a private firm founded back in 2010 by billionaire entrepreneur Naveen Jain, is the only private company to be granted permission by the US Federal Aviation Administration to leave the confines of the Earth and land a spacecraft on the lunar surface.

To accomplish this, the company will be teaming up with SpaceX, the private space firm founded by entrepreneur Elon Musk who has his own ambitions about sending humans to other worlds.

"Mars is absolutely the right place to be ultimately," said Jain. "But (the) moon is the first training ground and the first stepping stone. At the end of the day, we would rather be a lunatic three days away than be a Martian six months away."

"So I really believe the problems living on the moon are similar - the high radiation, vast temperature difference - and if we can solve that problem on the moon we can easily go on living on Mars after."

According to Jain, Moon Express could soon be offering round trips to the Moon for only $10,000.

Whether the firm will actually be able to pull this off however remains to be seen. - See more at: http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/news/301367/trip-to-the-moon-could-be-available-by-2026#sthash.M3bCza5D.dpuf

Case 62718

62718, AN1, CAT 1, PT, UNKNOWN
Event Date: 05.15.1999
SHAPE: Unknown
Investigator: Chuck Reever
Disposition: UNKNOWN UAV

Witness Statement:

In the summer of 1999, I was a F/A-18 pilot flying with a tanker escort to Rota Spain. Our mission was to move 12 of our aircraft to support NATO Operations in combat missions against the Serbian armed forces in Kosovo.

While flying across the Atlantic with a block altitude of FL260-FL290 and approximately 900 nm west of the Azores I had my radar scanning the ocean for ships. I had the radar running in SEA mode to track ships. This mode will give us a contact on the radar display and also a vector of the direction of travel and its speed. My radar picked up a contact 80 nm in front of my aircraft and 20 degrees to the right.

What struck me, was this contact was at 3,000 feet and tracking slowly east at about 10-50 knots. That was very unusual. I watched it for a few moments changing direction and altitude as low as 1,000 feet. I decided to try to lock the object with my radar. I put the radar back in air to air mode and I got a steady lock at 60 nm but what happened from there was truly shocking. The object started to accelerate and climb. Within 13 seconds, which is a full sweep of the Hornet APG-73 radar, the object went to over 1,000 knots and climbed to 70,000 feet and still climbing. My radar continued its lock until the object gimbaled the radar and I lost contact. This object reacted to my radar and it appeared to know that it was being tracked. The radar was fully functional. I never saw the object but it did come close to me, less than 20 nm, as it accelerated and climbed. The weather was cloudy with about three miles of visibility.

As a highly trained fighter pilot, I know that this was not a radar anomaly. I was in shock that this happened. I did not tell anyone in the flight for fear of ridicule. My background was an F/A-18 pilot and flew F-16's with the Air National Guard. It has been some time, but I remember this experience as if it was yesterday.

1943: USS Williamson Destroyer encounters UFO

Bering Sea, Alaska
Number of Witnesses: Multiple
Investigators: Brent Mitchel & Michael Puckett

Case Summary by Cassidy Nicholas
The year was 1943. It was a clear spring night with calm seas.

While on patrol in the midst of WWll, the  USS Williamson Destroyer glided through the waters of the Bering Sea north of the  Alaskan Peninsula bearing north at 20 knots.   The witness, accompanied with three other crewmen, were on watch at the starboard 20 mm gun on the gallery deck around 11 p.m.

Off of the port side, both port and starboard gun crews noticed a row of deep red lights traveling parallel to and slightly forward to the bow. According to the witness, he could not relay at which direction the lights approached the ship, and questioned whether they came out of the sea itself.

This unknown craft had at least eight evenly spaced lights in a row and canted diagonally to the horizon at approximately 15 degrees.  The witness estimated that these unknown lights were no more than 100 yards from their location. At roughly 10 feet apart, these lights outstretched a mere 30 feet off of the water's surface.

The witness used the example of needing a “cantaloupe held at arm's length to cover just one of the eight lights.”  According to the witness the lights did not cast any sort of beam or glow, and that even though he could not see, he noted nothing but darkness could be viewed in between the lights.

General Gerald W. 'Jerry' Johnson - UFO Sighting

Joe Misnik recounts WWII UFO encounter

Joe Misnik was interviewed in 2009 for this story about a WWII UFO encounter.

This is Webisode 15 from the docudrama, "Tragic Hinsdale House," directed and produced by Roger Marsh. Shot on-location at Joe's rural home in Hinsdale, NY - seven acres and a pond surrounded by lush forests, mountains and narrow roads - framing a warm home quite in need of attention harboring local history as a stage coach stop.

The strange and bizarre story framing the Hinsdale House was the basis for the docudrama - a tale told in two books by former owner Clara Miller and a network television version. UFOs were mentioned being seen nearby by various family members over the years. Joe did not know the home's paranormal history before moving in. He also had UFO sightings there. When he mentioned his first UFO sighting was during his WWII military experience we decided to turn the story into its own webisode.

UFOs during WWII were referred to as Foo Fighters.

Joe has since passed on.

Case Overview by Cassidy Nicholas

Returning from an evening out, a young Sailor and his date encountered something that would change
both their lives.  It was March of 1956, Santa Monica, California. The couple was driving down the coast highway in Santa Monica to return to his stationed Port Hueneme Naval Base when they noticed two young boys on the side of the road, both dressed in proper Naval Uniform.

Concerned, as the hitchhikers appeared to be very young, (the witness guessed their age of 14 years or younger) the couple pulled over and offered the boys a ride.

While driving, the witness asked the young sailors where they were headed.  The boys responded that they were on their way to the Coos Head Naval Base in Charleston, Oregon.  At this point, the witness became confused, because he had never heard of the Naval Base, but decided upon no further questions.  When they arrived at a turn off, the witness stated that his young passengers exited the vehicle and were wished a safe journey.

Continuing their return to Port, the couple noticed they were drawing near a large sphere of light hovering close to the center of the road. The sphere was white, and the witness estimated it to be 11 to 30 feet in size.   As intense as this light was, the witness stated that it did not hurt his eyes to stare directly at it on approach.

As the couple advanced towards the location of this unknown light directly in their path, the sphere simply disappeared stunning both of them.  The witness recalls that as soon as they drove through the previous location of the sphere, they experienced “a bone chilling iciness that passed through [their] bodies.”

Unsettled by the feeling, the witness looked into his review mirror and in shock noticed that the sphere was now behind the vehicle and appeared to be following them as they drove.  At this point, his date was horrified and collapsed to the floor boards of the vehicle screaming. Equally terrified, the witness remained driving forward watching this unknown pursuer in the mirror.

As the couple raced through a small gully in the road, they noticed that the unknown light seemed to remain stationary there.  Looking ahead the witness realized that they weren’t the only ones in danger as there was an oncoming car.  Without thought the witness frantically signaled the oncoming driver to pull over flashing his headlights, causing the car to pull off of the road.

With the oncoming car now pulled over the witness explained that this vehicle was a taxi and as they slowly drove by the car, light illuminated the entire scene and to his shock, the driver appeared relaxed, with his white shirt, resting his arm out the window staring straight ahead, with no inclination of what was happening.

At this point, the confused witness continued down the road, with the sphere of light right behind them once again.  He stated that he started to notice the light becoming smaller and lagging behind the vehicle as he drove.

In the distance, the witness could see the lights of the oncoming town, internally he thought to himself that if he could just reach the street lights, he and his date would be safe. Finally reaching the town the witness noted that the sphere of light abruptly stopped short of the lamps and after hovering for a moment, ascended straight up into the sky at a 45 degree angle.

Shaken by the situation, the witness found the first available phone booth and called the police. After telling them of the recent events, they sent a patrol officer who, with the couple, retraced the steps of the evening. When the officer phoned dispatch to contact the taxi company involved earlier, he did find that there was a driver in the vicinity at that time, though, shockingly, the driver stated that nothing odd happened that evening and had no recollection of being driven off of the road or any knowledge of the event, leaving the young Sailor and his date dumbfounded.  The witness even reported the incident to his superior officers, who in turn filed a report.

Slightly over a year after the event, incidentally, the witness was given orders to report to the Coos Head Naval Facility.  Remembering the young boys of that horrifying evening a year earlier, became all too frightening when he arrived at the base, and realized that it was not yet ready for occupancy and he had to stay in a local hotel in Coos Bay, until the construction of the base was completed. Who did our witness pick up in the car that night? Two young boys heading to a facility that wasn’t yet in operation?

This witness continued to have strange occurrences throughout his life, stemming from the close encounter that frightful March night. Even today he still tries to find answers.
