Huge UFO seen ‘FLYING OUT OF LAKE’ sparks claims US have secret underwater PLANE
UFO investigators have been unable to explain reports of a bizarre object allegedly seen flying out of a lake.
The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) investigated reports that a triangular-shaped UFO was seen emerging from Green Bay near Little Suamico, in Wisconsin, before flying off.
US-based MUFON received a testimony from a witness to the alleged event.
The object was said to be 100 to 150 feet in length and was seen at 2.10am local time on November 28.
Green Bay is a sub-basin of Lake Michigan, at the mouth of the Fox River.
The case was investigated by Susan Birttnen of Wisconsin MUFON, but closed as an "unknown sighting".
In a report, Ms Birttnen wrote: "He reports they witnessed a triangular-shaped object fly out of the water of Green Bay, traveling at approximately 35 knots.
"It was so close that they could hear a muffled jet sound. As it came out of the water it turned on its side as it traveled west and gained elevation.
"Based on the evidence and the data provided by the witness, I conclude that this case is in the unknown category.”
The witness, who has not been named by MUFON, the world's biggest organisation dedicated to UFO research, provided a description of the object.
They said: “The colour was dark and it had blue flashing lights.
“The elevation was at 500 feet and the distance was less than 1,000 feet. The side of the triangle was between 100 to 150 feet.”
The witness has a theory that it may have been a top secret craft developed and operated by the US Air Force.
Conspiracy theorists claim the US has secret so-called "black projects" based in classified air bases like Area 51 in Nevada where secret technology is developed.
Some even believe that they use alleged recovered flying saucers to devise new spy craft technologies.
The witness added: "I believe they are investigating the saucers and the orbs in some joint effort."

5. Tomoyuki Yamashita’s Sword
Tomoyuki Yamashita was a general of the Japanese Imperial Army during World War II. He became known during the war after conquering the British colonies of Malaya and Singapore, ultimately earning the nickname “The Tiger of Malaya.” After the end of World War II, Yamashita was tried for war crimes relating to the Manila Massacre and many other atrocities in the Philippines and Singapore. It was a controversial trial that ended with a death sentence for Tomoyuki Yamashita. In the state of Argentina, the Order of the Liberator General San Martin is the highest decoration given out.One of the most cherished possessions of José de San Martín was a curved sword that he purchased in London. San Martín admired the saber’s curved blade and felt that the weapon was maneuverable and ideal for battle. For this reason, he armed his cavalries of granaderos with similar weapons, which he deemed important for charge attacks. The curved sword stayed with San Martín until his death and was then passed down to the General de la Republica Argentina, Don Juan Manuel de Rosas.
In his will San Martín referred to the sword as “The saber that has accompanied me throughout the War of Independence of South America.” In 1896 the weapon was sent to the National Historical Museum in Buenos Aires where it remains today. In the 1960s the sword was stolen on two separate occasions and this caused museum operators to build a screened gazebo to protect the artifact.
5. Napoleon’s Sword
In 1799, Napoleon Bonaparte became the military and political leader of France after staging a coup d’état. Five years later the French Senate proclaimed him emperor. In the first decade of the 19th century Napoleon and the French Empire were engaged in conflict and war with every major European power. Ultimately, a series of victories gave the French a dominant position in continental Europe, but as history would later repeat itself, in 1812 the French began their invasion of Russia. The decision to invade Russia marked the turning point in the fortune of Napoleon. In 1814, the Sixth Coalition invaded France and Napoleon was captured and exiled to the island of Elba. He would escape, but ultimately died in confinement on the island of Saint Helena. Historians regard Napoleon as a military genius and a man who made strong contributions to the operational art of war.
On the battlefield Napoleon carried a pistol and a sword. He owned a large collection of arms and artillery. His weapons were one of a kind and included the best materials. In the summer of 2007, a gold-encrusted sword that once belonged to Napoleon was auctioned off in France for more than $6.4 million dollars. The sword was used by Napoleon in battle. In the early 1800s, Napoleon presented the weapon to his brother as a wedding gift. The sword was passed down from generation to generation, never leaving the Bonaparte family. In 1978, the sword was declared a national treasure in France and the winner of the auction was not identified.

The Sword of Mercy is a famous weapon that once belonged to Edward the Confessor. Edward the Confessor was one of the last Anglo-Saxon kings of England before the Norman Conquest of 1066. He ruled from 1042 to 1066 and his reign has been characterized by the crumbling disorganization of royal power in England. Shortly after Edward the Confessor’s death, the Normans began to expand into England, led by the infamous William the Conqueror.
The Sword of Mercy has a broken blade, which is cut off short and square. In 1236, the weapon was given the name curtana and has since been used for royal ceremonies. In ancient times it was a privilege to bear this sword before the king. It was considered a merciful gesture. The story surrounding the breaking of the weapon is unknown, but mythological history indicates that the tip was broken off by an angel to prevent a wrongful killing.
The Sword of Mercy is part of the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom and is one of only five swords used during the coronation of the British monarch. Joyeuse is the name of Charlemagne’s personal sword. Today, there are two swords attributed to Joyeuse. One is a saber that is kept in the Weltliche Schatzkammer in Vienna, while the other is housed at the Louvre in France. The blade on display at the Louvre claims to be partially built from Charlemagne’s original sword. The sword is made of parts from different centuries, so it can be hard to positively identify the weapon as Joyeuse. The hilt of the sword indicates a manufactory date around the time of Charlemagne. The heavily sculpted gold pommel is made in two halves and the long gold grip was once decorated with diamonds.

10-WTF space junk: What was that debris?
A group of scientists in a plane caught sight of a mysterious piece of space junk right as it burned up in Earth's atmosphere above the Indian Ocean in November.
NASA and other space agencies around the world monitor a large percentage of the millions of bits of space debris that orbit the planet, and researchers had been expecting the object — appropriately named WT1190F — to re-enter Earth's atmosphere when it was first spotted in October.

What we do know is that the three attackers were killed, and Boumeddiene escaped. Authorities believe she left Paris just before the attacks, traveled to Turkey and then crossed over into Syria. A month later, ISIS propaganda magazine Dabiq published an alleged interview with Boumeddiene, saying she is now with the group in Syria.
Today, Boumeddiene is one of the most wanted criminals on the planet.
8-8,000-year-old puzzle: What are these patterns in remote Kazakhstan?
Some blame aliens. Others say Nazis were behind it. But the mysterious earthworks, known as the Steppe Geoglyphs, are thousands of years in the making.
Scattered throughout remote parts of Kazakhstan and only visible from high above, their patterns vary in shapes — from giant rings to swastikas.
There are nearly 300 of these strange works, the oldest of which was constructed at least 8,000 years ago. And no one, including scores of scientists who have studied them, really knows why they’re there. The theory is that they came from an ancient settlement.
Dmitriy Dey, who first spotted them in 2007 on Google Earth — he was looking for ancient pyramids at the time — thinks they may have been built as “horizontal observatories to track the movements of the rising sun,” according to a New York Times interview in October.
The ancient relics are so puzzling that NASA is now working to unravel the mystery. From 430 miles above the Earth, the space agency captured some of the clearest images, which were released in late 2015.

6-Ghost boats: Who is sending ships filled with corpses to Japan?
Mysterious "ghost boats" — wrecked wooden ships with decaying corpses on board — are washing up on the shores of Japan.
Nearly a dozen boats carrying decomposing bodies were found off the country's northwestern coast in just one month, the coast guard said in December. The first boat was found in October, and in November officials discovered 10 bodies in three boats at Ishikawa prefecture. Later, they found another boat with six skulls and a body that was nearly intact.
Several signs point to North Korea. Most of the boats carried equipment and signs written in Korean, and one was had a scrap of cloth resembling a torn bit of the North Korean flag. However, authorities have not been able to confirm their origin or why the people on board perished.
More than 30 boats were found in 2015. There were 65 the year before and 80 in 2013.
5-Alien ocean: Is there life on Saturn's moon?
In October, NASA's Cassini spacecraft, which has been exploring Saturn since 2004, got closer than ever to an extraterrestrial ocean on Enceladus, one of the planet's 62 moons. During its daring dive into an icy plume erupting from the moon's south pole, Cassini sampled the spray to figure out what's lurking beneath the surface.
"Enceladus is not just an ocean world. It's a world that might provide a habitable environment for life as we know it," Cassini program scientist Curt Niebur said at the time.
But even if the ocean material is chock-full of little lifeforms, Cassini won't know it. The spacecraft wasn't built to actually detect life. Its instruments don't have the ability to parse out sure signs, like DNA, from the icy spray.
Instead, scientists are hoping to learn more about the pH balance and molecular composition of the water. NASA is still analyzing the data from that October flyby. In the best-case scenario, the spacecraft might be able to determine if the small moon's ocean could be habitable.
Cassini's mission will end when it runs out of fuel sometime in 2017. Until then, the probe will be making its final observations of many of Saturn's moons.
4-Catastrophic collapse: What killed 120,000 antelopes in just a few days?
In a span of less than two weeks in May, there was a widespread die-off of critically endangered saiga antelope throughout central Kazakhstan. The United Nations reported that more than 120,000 of the animals — that's more than a third of the global population — died from mid-May through the end of the month.
It's the largest die-off event of the species ever recorded.
While scientists have not yet pinpointed the cause of the deaths, a preliminary analysis showed that a combination of environmental and biological factors were involved, as mainly mothers and calves were among the dead. Two pathogens — one known as Pasteurella and the other as Clostridia — contributed to the rapid and widespread die-off. However, this discovery fails to solve the mystery.
One possible suspect in the die-off event is rocket fuel from decades of launches from facilities in central Kazakhstan. Currently, Russia launches crewed and uncrewed missions to the International Space Station from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

A tiny piece of the puzzle that is Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 washed up on Reunion island in the Indian Ocean in July. Investigators believe the piece of debris was a flaperon that came from the missing plane.
Though we finally have a piece of tangible evidence, we still have no real answers as to what happened after MH370 took off from Kuala Lumpur in March 2014 and vanished into the night. 1-SIBERIAN SINKHOLES
A 115-foot hole was discovered in Siberia's Yamal peninsula — a name that means "end of the world" in the language of the area's indigenous inhabitants — after an unexplained explosion in July. Two other mysterious sinkholes popped up in Russia's north shortly after. Scientists believe gas explosions beneath the surface caused the sinkholes, but they haven't been able to confirm that theory.

Two ‘alien’ skulls discovered in Russia, a secret Nazi institution and the search for the origin of Mankind
In what sounds as a scene from an Indiana Jones movie, reports from
Russian newspapers “Komsomolskaya Pravda” and “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”
indicate that a briefcase and two Alien-like skulls were discovered in
the mountains of the Caucasus region of Adygeya. Among the briefcase,
its finders found two skulls belonging to an unknown creature. Ahnenerbe

New Mars satellite returns first photographs
The Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO) has returned a set of high-quality test photographs from the Red Planet.
Despite losing its companion Schiaparelli lander to a computer glitch
shortly after arriving at Mars back in October, the atmospheric
research orbiter is continuing to do well.Developed through a collaboration between the European Space Agency and Russia's Roscomos, the Trace Gas Orbiter is designed to acquire a better understanding of methane and other trace gases present in the planet's atmosphere.
While the spacecraft is not yet in the correct orbit to begin operations, the team behind it have taken the opportunity this week to test out its cameras and other on-board instrumentation.
The images returned were taken around 250km above the surface over the Hebes Chasma region.
"We saw Hebes Chasma at 2.8 metres per pixel," said principal investigator Nicolas Thomas. "That's a bit like flying over Bern at 15,000km/h and simultaneously getting sharp pictures of cars in Zurich."
In addition to its cameras, the probe is also equipped with several infrared spectrometers and a neutron detector capable of picking of signs of hydrogen near the planet's surface.
Giant air-breathing fish found in the Amazon
A new species of the mysterious arapaima has been discovered in the remote backwaters of the Amazon.
Measuring up to 10ft long and weighing up to 440 pounds, the arapaima
has long remained something of an enigma. Found within the
oxygen-depleted backwaters of South America, this monster of the
rainforest breathes air through a primitive lung and has managed to
evade study thanks to its remote location and the fact that it is quite a
difficult fish to catch.Up until now the arapaimas found in the Amazon have been thought to belong to the same species, albeit with regional variations. According to National Geographic explorer Donald J. Stewart and colleagues however, there could actually be several species - many of them undiscovered.
Their findings were based on a specimen collected in 2001 which has turned out to be a distinctly different species to most of the arapaimas caught in the region.
"I think we'll have many more species before we're done," said Stewart.
While the discovery is good news for biologists, it also means that some of these elusive fish may be a lot more endangered than previously believed.
These days it is illegal to catch arapaimas and there are thought to be only around 5,000 left.
If this population consists of several different species, then it means that many of those are going to be a lot more endangered and some could even be on the brink of extinction.
"We need to pay attention to this diversity so we don't eliminate one of them," said Stewart.
Mystery surrounds Australia's Min Min Lights
Strange balls of light have puzzled visitors and locals alike in Western Queensland for over a century.
These eerie glowing orbs, which the local Aborginal people believe to
be the spirits of the deceased, are said to follow unsuspecting
travellers and can even reduce grown men to tears.One witness - Genevieve Hammond - had been out camping with her husband in Queensland's Channel Country on a particularly clear and cold night when she encountered the phenomenon.
"We were on a remote cattle station," she said. "We were camping out and we saw this greenish oval shaped blurry light bobbing up and down. It was parallel to the horizon, about a kilometre away, and seemed to be a metre from the ground. It moved very slowly to the left and then came back on itself and it went on like this for about 15 minutes. It was silent and very eerie."
"It couldn't have been anything else, there's no other explanation, it was the Min Min light."
Possible explanations for the phenomenon range from UFOs to fireflies and swamp gas, but now according to Jack Pettigrew, a neuroscientist at the University of Queensland, the strange lights could actually be a nocturnal version of the Fata Morgana mirage - a rare optical illusion that can make ocean-going ships appear to be floating above the horizon.
"I experienced the phenomenon myself as well as hearing about it from graziers," he said. Mysterious 'sea blob' sighted after 100 years
A strange-looking invertebrate has been spotted by a deep-sea ROV over a century after its discovery.
With its translucent body and ethereal otherworldly appearance, Bathochordaeus charon
was first observed all the way back in 1899 by Prof Carl Chun of
Leipzig University during an expedition to explore the depths of the
South Atlantic.
Believing it to have originated from the bottom of the sea, he named it 'Charon' after the ferryman who in Greek mythology is tasked with transporting the souls of the deceased across the river Styx.
Further accounts of the creature however have been scarce with only a few being reported over the last century. Of those examined by scientists, none seemed to exactly match Chun's discovery.
Now though, Rob Sherlock of the Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute has finally managed to locate and even capture one off the coast of California using a remote-operated vehicle.
"Since the vehicle was recovered some tens of minutes later, the animal was alive, in fantastic shape, and we preserved it right away in order to send it to the Smithsonian," he said.
"We had no idea, until we looked more closely at the specimen, that we had actually found B. charon, the species first described over a hundred years ago."
"It felt like Chun had finally been vindicated after years of doubt."

AI predicts the future by watching videos
An artificial intelligence is learning how to anticipate what is going to happen in the next few seconds.
In a new bid to get around this problem, researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have developed a sophisticated deep learning algorithm that can look at a still image and generate a short movie based on what it anticipates is going to happen next.
Show it an image of the shoreline for example and it will produce a short video of moving waves.
To learn how to make such predictions, the AI was trained using more than two million Internet videos of everything from train stations and golf courses to shopping malls and hospitals.
"Any robot that operates in our world needs to have some basic ability to predict the future," said Carl Vondrick, one of the researchers who worked on the system. "For example, if you're about to sit down, you don't want a robot to pull the chair out from underneath you."
While it's still early days yet, teaching a computer how to anticipate what is going to happen next is an important step towards building an AI that can operate effectively in the real world.
"The laws of physics and the nature of objects mean that not just anything can happen," said John Daugman at the University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory.
"The authors have demonstrated that those constraints can be learned."

Moon Express is hoping to be able to send people on trips to the Moon within as little as ten years.
As if venturing to the edge of space aboard one of Virgin Galactic's suborbital space planes wasn't adventurous enough, tourists of the near future may even be able to go to the Moon itself.
Moon Express, a private firm founded back in 2010 by billionaire entrepreneur Naveen Jain, is the only private company to be granted permission by the US Federal Aviation Administration to leave the confines of the Earth and land a spacecraft on the lunar surface.
To accomplish this, the company will be teaming up with SpaceX, the private space firm founded by entrepreneur Elon Musk who has his own ambitions about sending humans to other worlds.
"Mars is absolutely the right place to be ultimately," said Jain. "But (the) moon is the first training ground and the first stepping stone. At the end of the day, we would rather be a lunatic three days away than be a Martian six months away."

Witness Statement:
In the summer of 1999, I was a F/A-18 pilot flying with a tanker escort to Rota Spain. Our mission was to move 12 of our aircraft to support NATO Operations in combat missions against the Serbian armed forces in Kosovo.
While flying across the Atlantic with a block altitude of FL260-FL290 and approximately 900 nm west of the Azores I had my radar scanning the ocean for ships. I had the radar running in SEA mode to track ships. This mode will give us a contact on the radar display and also a vector of the direction of travel and its speed. My radar picked up a contact 80 nm in front of my aircraft and 20 degrees to the right.
What struck me, was this contact was at 3,000 feet and tracking slowly east at about 10-50 knots. That was very unusual. I watched it for a few moments changing direction and altitude as low as 1,000 feet. I decided to try to lock the object with my radar. I put the radar back in air to air mode and I got a steady lock at 60 nm but what happened from there was truly shocking. The object started to accelerate and climb. Within 13 seconds, which is a full sweep of the Hornet APG-73 radar, the object went to over 1,000 knots and climbed to 70,000 feet and still climbing. My radar continued its lock until the object gimbaled the radar and I lost contact. This object reacted to my radar and it appeared to know that it was being tracked. The radar was fully functional. I never saw the object but it did come close to me, less than 20 nm, as it accelerated and climbed. The weather was cloudy with about three miles of visibility.
As a highly trained fighter pilot, I know that this was not a radar anomaly. I was in shock that this happened. I did not tell anyone in the flight for fear of ridicule. My background was an F/A-18 pilot and flew F-16's with the Air National Guard. It has been some time, but I remember this experience as if it was yesterday.

Case Summary by Cassidy Nicholas
The year was 1943. It was a clear spring night with calm seas.
While on patrol in the midst of WWll, the USS Williamson Destroyer glided through the waters of the Bering Sea north of the Alaskan Peninsula bearing north at 20 knots. The witness, accompanied with three other crewmen, were on watch at the starboard 20 mm gun on the gallery deck around 11 p.m.
Off of the port side, both port and starboard gun crews noticed a row of deep red lights traveling parallel to and slightly forward to the bow. According to the witness, he could not relay at which direction the lights approached the ship, and questioned whether they came out of the sea itself.
This unknown craft had at least eight evenly spaced lights in a row and canted diagonally to the horizon at approximately 15 degrees. The witness estimated that these unknown lights were no more than 100 yards from their location. At roughly 10 feet apart, these lights outstretched a mere 30 feet off of the water's surface.
The witness used the example of needing a “cantaloupe held at arm's length to cover just one of the eight lights.” According to the witness the lights did not cast any sort of beam or glow, and that even though he could not see, he noted nothing but darkness could be viewed in between the lights.
